Getting back into the swing of things with work and life, now that it’s beginning to settle down a little bit; I looked at my old blog I started way back in 2018. It was just personal musings, running, parenting, mental health etc. I also tried to do a Women in History series, which I loved and may start up again in the future.
Anyway, I realised that I’d let my hosting and domain lapse and had a momentary panic. I wanted to repurpose some of those blogs for this newsletter and see what’s changed. However, there is a wonderful internet archive site called Wayback Machine, which trawls the internet taking snapshots of websites to keep them going. It’s great looking at some past websites (Neopets, anyone?) and it comes in handy when I want to check in on my own sites.
I found my Women in History series, how I was training for a marathon and seemingly doing very well in running and my little musings on being a parent.
Working with words has been amazing, and I can see on my blogs how far I’ve come with writing. I love to blog and keep people updated with what’s going on. It’s why I don’t do a copywriting blog as I write about that all the time! This is just for me (and you lot that subscribe, thanks for that!) and I like being able to put my thoughts down and then move on. It’s a bit of a journal, bit life update, books, history, business. It is what it is in all honesty. I’ve never done well at sticking to something when I’m writing for myself.
Thanks for being here! It’s always lovely to realise that people do appreciate my general musings - and if there are any women in history that you want me to do a post on, drop me a note and I’ll add her to my list.
